Are you interested in creative writing but don't know where to start? Then this Creative Writing for All course is Canterbury is for you. , Lose your fear of the blank page, gain experience of various genres of writing, find your own voice and write something to be proud of. You will work on exercises to encourage experimentation and expression; and then progress to explore various forms of literature and to produce your own work. Students will be encouraged to attempt different forms of writing and become self-directing, confident and able to identify their own writing strengths., , On this practical course you will be introduced to techniques of fiction writing and autobiography and will explore the links between the two forms of writing. Most of your written work will be done at home and shared with the group in a constructive way., By the end of this course you should be able to:, - Respond to and assess pieces of writing with sensitivity, - Demonstrate an understanding of what you may expect from creative writing classes, - Produce several short pieces of creative writing and one extended one, , There is limited parking on site, but there is a public car park nearby and on-street parking. All you need is an interest in writing creatively and it doesn't matter if you haven't written in this way since school, indeed ever! You will need reasonable familiarity with written and spoken English Language.
