Iyengar Yoga is an internationally recognised form of yoga which is based around the safe practice and sequencing of poses, using props such as foam pads and belts to help students progress. In this course over 60 poses from the Level 1 and 2 Iyengar Teachers' syllabus will be drawn upon, leading to classes which will be a mixture of standing, sitting, supine and inverted poses. During the classes the teacher will provide some of the history and philosophy of Iyengar Yoga as well as some recommended texts for background reading if desired.

You do not need to bring anything with you initially; however many students like to purchase their own yoga mats. You may also wish to bring your own blanket.
