Creative writing - Towards Publication, this course is designed to introduce writers to the range of publishing opportunities available both online and in the more traditional print media. It will include discussion and evaluation of these various pathways into publication as well as exploring issues relating to proofreading and presentation of work. The course will also include some analysis of what constitutes effective writing, so by the end of the course, students should be able to: , • identify a range of publication processes , • evaluate publication opportunities in print and online, • proofread and edit work effectively, • recognise the importance of presentation and punctuation, The course involves reading and note taking, and also provides opportunities to write creatively, discuss the writing process, and constructively evaluate your own and others' work. This creative writing course is intended for people who have attended introductory courses or those with prior experience of creative writing and who wish to develop these techniques to improve the ability of their writing to engage its intended readership.
