Family History - Using Military Records

A short course on finding, and using, military records for family members who served with the British forces throughout periods of conflict from early 19c until after the Second World War. Army, Navy, Air Force will be covered as well as those who served on the Home Front. Medal records and memorials will be covered as will internet sites All are welcome to join this course. No prior knowledge or experience of Family History is required but basic computer skills, using a keyboard, mouse and computer to access the internet at home or a local library would be needed. , For anyone who has started family history research, and wants more in depth coverage of where to find material. Stiudents will be expected to work, using computers, on their own family, interact with other students, and contribute to class discussion.
