On this watercolour course in Deal you will have the opportunity to continue to learn, apply and extend the skills and techniques learned on a Beginners course. The Improvers course covers line and wash painting and drawing, mixed media techniques including drawing and painting, illustration and graphic skills. Elements of composition, proportion and tonal and colour work are explored through projects in still life, landscape and the human form., By the end of the course you should be able to:, - work from a variety of primary and secondary subject matter., - make a preliminary drawing to establish a composition., - select and use the appropriate brushes and materials., - mix colours using basic colour theory., - use a range of watercolour techniques, e.g. washes, glazes, drybrush, wet in wet, impasto, etc., - recognise the styles and techniques of watercolour artists., - work to health and safety guidelines.
