Creative Writing - Summer Scribes

This 'Creative Writing - Summer Scribes' course in Maidstone is designed to provide students with an opportunity to indulge their love of writing, over a concentrated three-day period, in the company of fellow writers, with whom they will be able to share and discuss their work in a safe and supportive environment. Using a wide variety of resources to inspire and stimulate writing, the course will enable students to explore different narrative techniques, styles and tones, and engage actively in the writing process. , , The course will involve some brief 'excursions' around the vicinity of St Faith's AEC, so appropriate footwear and clothing will be required. , , If you have any access or support requirements then please let us know at the time of enrolment., , By the end of this course, students will have:, , • Engaged actively in the writing process, • Created believable fictional characters and plots, • Explored some aspect of poetic form or technique, • Used writing as a form of recording, reporting and/or reflecting information, , Students should also be able to constructively evaluate their own and others' work, , This course involves reading and note taking, but also provides many opportunities to write creatively, imaginatively and informatively., This course in Maidstone is for beginners and people with some experience of creative writing who wish to develop their skills and build techniques to improve the clarity and effectiveness of their writing. Beginners will be given additional support if required.
