Cake Decorating - Sugar Sculpture

Sugar sculpture - You don't have to use sugar mediums just for cake decorating. Try this new craft course making artefacts predominately from sugar. , , Make a mould of a fashion accessory/costume from fine papermachè (using tissue and PVA glue). Cover with royal icing and embellish with piping, beads, sequins and other decorative media of fabrics and wires or add your own handmade sugar flowers. The options are endless., , During the course students will:, • Design artefact to be made, • Use a preformed shape or mould to create foundation for artefact, • Use various piping techniques , • Assemble item as per design , , , All Sugarcraft courses at Tonbridge centre are taught in a well equipped kitchen which adheres to local food hygiene regulations . This course is suitable for students with an interest in design and craft. Knowledge of Sugarcraft useful,(but not essential) and the use of various craft mediums.
