Painting the Figure in Costume

Working from direct observation of the life model, students will be introduced to painting and drawing the human form in costume. Students who have completed the Beginners course or have some experience. It is important to note that art courses are practical and require a degree of manual dexterity. If you need to bring a carer with you, or be accompanied by another person, please ask to speak with the Programme Manager before you enrol.

Entry requirements

If you are a new student and have no materials please wait for your tutor's advice on what to buy. However, all students should bring an A4 sketchbook of good quality cartridge paper and a variety of pencils.You will need to provide your own materials and these will vary in cost according to the course requirements. Some of our centres have their own 'shops' where you are able to buy things at competitive prices.If you have any materials/equipment that might be appropriate please bring them with you.
