Photography - Summer School

UPDATED 20160412 14:16:07

Many of us use a camera quite successfully using the automatic settings but we are always aware that we might be able to take better pictures if we were to utilise all the features of our camera. You may feel the same. This is a 3 day photography summer school which aims to help you to further build on your basic understanding of using a digital camera and learning the skills of photography. Achieving pleasing images are our goal, so you will further explore techniques and compositions that make a visual impact on the viewer and how you can achieve this with the camera you use. This will involve practicing techniques for different types of photography, i.e. close-up, action, low light, portrait and landscape. Weather permitting, we will use the local area for some practical photography. For students who have their own digital SLR camera and would like to be able to use them more confidently. The course will focus on accessing the manual features of these types of cameras. The course is not appropriate for students with digital compact cameras or for beginners wishing to learn more about photography using automatic camera settings.
