Photography - Better Landscapes and Street Scenes

UPDATED 20160412 14:15:46

We would all like to take effective landscape photographs but the results are usually disappointing. The aim of this photography course is to share skills and techniques which will allow you to take more effective landscapes and street scenes., The camera is a tool the photographer uses to capture and represent what he/she sees and by learning a few techniques in exposure, composition and also in post-production we can greatly improve the photographs we produce. , On this course we will look creatively at how to improve photographs of landscapes and street scenes, drawing inspiration in and around Tonbridge and by learning key techniques that are used to create effective photographs., At the end of the course you will be able to:, 1. Demonstrate how key techniques in exposure and composition affect landscape and street scene photography,, 2. Choose appropriate camera settings for creating a photographic landscape or street scene,, 3. Demonstrate a post-production technique to improve a landscape or street scene photography,, 4. Produce an effective landscape or street scene photograph of Tonbridge, Anyone with a basic knowledge of using a digital camera (not a complete beginner). It would be beneficial if students had attended at least a basic digital photography course but those who prefer to use the auto settings are welcome too. Although the course is not specifically designed to cover smartphones, there would still be plenty of scope to learn the basic techniques of taking more effective outdoor scenes.
