BTEC Extended Diploma in Engineering Level 3 - Extended Diploma

You will develop your understanding of the principles and processes used in engineering. You will also extend the practical skills that you will have gained by completing a Subsidiary Diploma in Engineering. You will be involved in studying mechanical, electrical and electronic principles and applications; in addition to communication techniques, engineering drawing and computer aided design. There will be an emphasis on working safely, whilst gaining knowledge of the tools, equipment, principles and processes that are used within the engineering industry alongside health and safety in the workplace. Your work will be assessed, through the completion of assignments, projects and practical tasks. You will also have an opportunity to gain functional skills if you do not already have them. This course will also enable you to participate in a range of enrichment activities, which will be tailored to your interests within the curriculum area.
