Creative Design in Technology Level 3

This Level 3 Information & Creative Technology course offers modules linking Electronics, Graphic Design, Art, Animation, Website Production, Programming technologies and different communication methods such as blogging and social networks in preparation for a wider range of University courses and job prospects. Alongside academic studies learners have the opportunity of University visits, World Skills competitions, sports and gym facilities, overseas trips (Paris, Hungary, Italy, Poland, Romania). Learners also have the opportunity to visit a European organisation to study their business operations and to visit New York. The volunteer programme, IT Ambassadors, is embedded into the course with 5 weeks during the academic year when learners are available to volunteer for work in local industry. Learners are encouraged to use BigAmbition initiatives to look for work in the wider world. It is anticipated that learners will be involved with the UK Girls in IT Employer Steering Group, a group that works to Inspire girls to consider a future in technology. Companies involved with this group are Accenture, BBC, British Airways, Centrica, Ford, IBM, Infosys, lastminute.com, Network Rail and PriceWaterhouseCoopers.
