The aim of this programme is to produce podiatrists who will ensure the quality of care to patients. By putting the patients needs at the centre of our teaching, we equip graduates with the knowledge and skills required to provide the best possible service. There is a high staff to student ratio within the podiatry department allowing excellent guided learning and tutorial support. All the programme team are actively involved in clinical teaching within our own fully refurbished clinical facilities in Bishop Auckland. In addition, students will be allocated a home trust where they will be assigned an NHS placement on a regular basis during the programme. Applicants accepted onto this programme who are residents within the European Union are entitled to apply for an NHS Bursary and are exempt from tuition fees. For information on NHS Bursaries and Grants go to www.nhsbsa.nhs.uk/students.
