Every year at least one student tells college staff they wish they'd retaken GCSE English when they had the chance. Some have to defer entry to university whilst they pay to study at an evening class. Others are unable to continue with their plans for the future. Will you regret not retaking GCSE English? Class sizes are usually small, you will benefit from more of your teacher's attention - and so can expect to improve your grade. GCSE English is a requirement for entry onto university courses and yes, a grade C is still requested by most employers. If your ambition is to be a teacher (of any subject) you must hold grade C English. The team of staff are friendly and supportive. If you do not already hold a grade C (or above) we strongly encourage you to take up this opportunity.
