Diploma in Bricklaying (QCF)

This course aims to prepare you for employment or further training within the bricklaying industry. You will carry out your practical training in our dedicated workshops, learning skills such as how to construct walls, basic bricklaying, constructing walls for houses, and how to read drawings and position buildings. You will visit real working sites where possible, and may even have opportunities to practice your new skills on real buildings. To achieve your diploma you will study different units which include practical activities in brickwork as well as employability skills and health and safety. The course is approximately 60% practical and 40% theory, and your training will be carried out in our construction workshop, classrooms. You will have a personal tutor to help support your learning as well as access to information on study skills and study support groups should you need them.
