For those students interested in a career in Public Services e.g. Army, Royal Navy, Royal Air Force, Police, Fire Service or Ambulance Service, either at the end of the one-year course or after a further period of study. The course is made up of three core units and four specialist units, which include both practical and theory sessions. You will study public service skills, physical fitness; teamwork; map reading and navigation and employment opportunities within the uniformed services. Team events and adventure activities are part of the course along with numeracy, IT and literacy skill development. A residential component is also included. There are extra curricular activities a variety of service exercise drills.
