Students will study the following units: Give customers a positive impression of yourself, ensure your own actions reduce risks to health and safety, advise and consult with clients, style, dress and finish hair using basic techniques, cut hair using basic techniques, shampoo and condition hair and scalp and style hair using basic plaiting techniques. The course will include learning a variety of hairdressing skills in the Colleges Hair Salons, progressing from the VRQ Level 2.

Entry requirements

Appropriate dress, including footwear, will be required. Learners will have the opportunity to purchase or loan equipment and text books as per the specific requirements of the course area.
