If you are committed and sure about the field of graphic design, then this is the course for you. It will give you a basic knowledge of the specialism and give you the right qualifications to apply to university or to try for a junior design position in the industry. The course is a challenging broad-based course which covers 180 credits related to Graphic Design including: Typography, Drawing, Materials Techniques and Processes, Contextual Studies (History of Art and Design) and Computers in Art and Design. The aims of the course are to develop your skills through a series of projects that explore and build on creative thinking strategies and the use of materials techniques and processes. You will progress onto the Extended Diploma after successful completion of the Diploma in the first year.
