PUBLIC SERVICES LEVEL 2 FIRST EXTENDED CERTIFICATE

UPDATED 20160408 09:24:41

Public services courses are designed to make you a more attractive candidate for employment in many of the uniformed public services - Police, Fire Brigade, Ambulance Service, British Army, Royal Air Force, Royal Navy, Prison Service - and to ease the transition between school and the life in the services. In addition, you could use your qualification to progress onto Higher Education. As well as studying the public services, we will also be improving your self discipline, time management and fitness, all of which can be used in any area of work. The course will involve looking at work-related areas of the services, their entry requirements and selection processes, as well as some other related areas such as government funding, citizenship, teamwork, leadership and navigation. Your classroom sessions will make up approximately 80% of your timetable and this could take the form of lectures, discussions, role play or workshops.
