This course is suitable for you if you are an experienced teaching assistant who wishes to enhance their knowledge at a higher education level. It is aimed at primary and special school teaching assistants. This specialist course is validated by The Open University. You will study how children learn and you will develop your knowledge about behaviour management and inclusion. You will learn about a variety of curriculum subjects including mathematics, science, design and technology, ICT and literacy. You will learn about research methodology and carry out an individual creative project in your workplace. In addition, the assessment of children's learning and further educational issues will be studied.
