This course is suitable for those who have successfully completed the Level 2 Legal Secretaries Certificate or have A levels or posses a good working knowledge of office procedures. You should be interested in working or be working as an administrator/secretary in the business and legal environment and want to develop your secretarial skills within the legal sector. *This course is only available for 16-18 year olds. Adults should see course information for the Legal Secretaries C&G Level 3 Diploma. The Diploma for Legal Secretaries is for anyone interested in a career in a legal or business environment. The course will suit you if you work or want to work as a senior administrator or secretary in a business or legal environment. The course will help you to learn, develop and practise the skills required for employment and/or career progression in the legal sector. You need some basic administration experience, but you don't need any previous qualifications or a current work placement. To achieve the Level 3 Diploma for Legal Secretaries, you must complete 3 mandatory units and 4 optional units or 4 mandatory units and 1 optional unit for the Legal Studies. Mandatory units: Legal text processing and legal audio processing; Business skills in the legal environment; Proofreading in the legal environment. Plus any 2 of the following optional units: Legal spreadsheet processing; Legal database processing; Legal presentation techniques; Legal terminology; Or The legal environment - Legal Studies Plus 1 of the Legal Studies units: Principles of criminal liability; Principles of contract liability; Principles of negligence; Family law.
