HOSPITALITY SUPERVISION AND LEADERSHIP NVQ DIPLOMA

This course is for people who would like a qualification in Catering, who wish to work, as well as study. You must secure employment and be given day release to attend college one day a week (this is usually a Monday as these are quiet days within our industry). Both the employer and the college must agree to you joining the apprenticeship scheme. You will have one year to complete the course. All aspects of cooking are covered. The units you can achieve depend on the range of foods or service your employer provides. i.e. if your restaurant does not serve any pasta dishes you will not be able to complete the pasta section.

They will record how and what you have achieved and take photos as evidence. You will be given feedback on your work and the arrangements for the following week's observations. There are a few compulsory subjects, such as health and safety and hygiene, that must be completed the others are in agreement with the assessor and yourself.
