A level chemistry builds upon chemical concepts developed at GCSE. At A level you will develop essential knowledge and understanding of different areas of chemistry and how they inter-relate; develop and demonstrate deeper understanding of How Science Works and develop safe and effective practical skills of manipulating laboratory equipment. There are six teaching modules in the new OCR specification: "Practical skills in Chemistry", "Foundation in Chemistry", "Periodic table and energy", "Core organic Chemistry", "Physical chemistry and transition elements", and "Organic chemistry and analysis"
