This qualification meets the needs for those people who want to work as a steward in the Active Leisure and Learning sector. This may include any event from sports including football, cricket, to music festivals, rock and pop concerts to carnivals and parades. It allows candidates to learn develop and practise the skills required for employment in the Spectator safety sector. You must achieve four units: How stewards prepare for spectator events; how stewards control the entry, exit and movement of spectators at events; how to respond to injuries, illnesses and other emergencies; how stewards monitor crowds and deal with potential crowd problems.
