Learn to Paint and Draw

This class aims to teach and develop essential skills in drawing and painting in a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere. Weeks 1-5 will focus on observational drawing from still-life. Working in line and tone using pencil and charcoal, the class will explore composition, space and perspective. Weeks 6-10 will focus on observational painting from still life (with an option to continue working in line and tonal drawing). Developing the skills gained in the first five sessions the focus of the class will turn to painting first through tone using black, greys and white, progressing to a simple colour pallet range.
