This programme is a nationally designed and recognised course which covers the theoretical knowledge and practical skills required to work with Children and Young People in Social Care settings. As an apprentice you will gain a qualification that: a) Is based on National Occupational Standards b) Values the complex mix of the skills and knowledge needed to work in a care setting c) Is recognised by employers Course Content 1. Level 3 Diploma in Children and Young Peoples Workforce (Social Care) 2. Level 2 Employer Rights and Responsibility 3. Level 2 Functional Skills in Literacy, Numeracy and ICT Training is available in the workplace or at Stafford College in a joint partnership. Underpinning knowledge delivery will take place throughout the course duration Career Opportunities/Progression Building on induction frameworks, the framework is designed to offer clearer opportunities and incentives for progression and further development whilst establishing workers initial competence to practice safely; it also supports and enhances the occupational competence of individuals. Level 3 qualifications are particularly relevant to senior care workers. Successful learners may be able to apply for Higher Education Courses.
