This is a highly exciting course and is designed for students who have interests in the media and is ideal for anyone wanting to develop their knowledge and understanding and skills in a variety of differing forms of creative media practices. This might include print design, image manipulation, video production, editing, production management, to name but a few. Whether you are interested in wanting to become a graphic designer, editor, camera operator etc, this could the first stage in realising a career in a variety of fields within the Creative Industries. It is an ideal preparation for the higher level courses in Creative Video Production or other creative courses that are on offer at Stafford College, which in themselves lead to career possibilities and or higher level University courses. The BTEC Level 2 Diploma in Creative Media is a one year introductory course. It is not just for people who want to work in the media industry when they finish their education. Many skills and techniques learned on this course are transferable to other forms of employment, such as the planning, research, and organisational skills that are developed while you are producing media products. The BTEC level 2 Diploma in Media consists of four core units plus specialist units and a Media Project of your choice at the end of the year. Core Units 1. Understanding the Media 2.
