Course Fundamentals: • Students study the role and purpose of Education and examine educational achievement by social class, gender and ethnicity. • Students explore Families including patterns of marriage, cohabitation, separation, divorce and family diversity. • Students gain a view of Crime control, prevention, punishment, victims, and the criminal justice system. • The course examines the Media and explores Globalisation and popular culture.
