Enhancing your practical skills and subsequent employability, this course is ideal for those students seeking a career in the horse industry or who wish to progress onto a higher level course. You will learn how to handle and understand a variety of horses as well as develop your riding, horse husbandry and communication skills. In addition to the highly practical content, you will study horse behaviour and welfare, nutrition and learn how to correctly exercise a horse on the flat and over fences. Successful students can further enhance their skills by enrolling onto a work-based qualification, Apprenticeship or the Level 3. Alternatively, should they wish to do so, they may gain employment in the equine industry as a groom, stable hand, retail assistant, rider or welfare assistant.
