You will gain the Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair Vocational Competence Qualification (VCQ) at Level 3 by completing a work based competence portfolio. There are a number of mandatory units including health and safety in the workplace, housekeeping and working in the Motor Industry. Other units will give a more in-depth knowledge into engines, chassis, transmissions and body electrics. There is an expectation that you will undertake personal study in order to demonstrate knowledge of the subject area, and compile a portfolio of evidence to demonstrate their competence.
