Is this the right course for me? If you have learnt the basics in a Beginners course recently or informally in the past, then this class will help you move on to refine your style and generally improve your dancing. It is not absolutely essential to have a partner to join the class - every effort will be made to ensure you have a chance to dance with another learner or an instructor, to enable you to practise and progress. What will I learn? You will revise the dances you have already learnt and build on the basics e.g. adding in turns and more detailed steps. How will I learn? The tutor will demonstrate steps and dances for you to practise on your own or with a partner. Will I gain a qualification? You will not gain a formal qualification but you may receive a Certificate of Attendance and Achievement from your tutor. What can I do next? A continuation course is planned for next term - please ask your tutor for advice on this and other dance classes. What do I need to bring to the classes? Please bring a drink and comfortable shoes - slip ons or trainers are not suitable. Please note for Week 1 of your course go to Stantonbury Leisure Centre reception where you will be met by a Community Learning MK representative. Can I talk to someone about my course before I start it? It is usually possible to put you directly in touch with the tutor if a member of the Community Learning MK staff cannot answer your query.
