How to do absolutely everything on your smartphone

UPDATED 20160406 11:49:15

Is this the right course for me? If you have a Smartphone and know that you can do more with it than just make and receive calls and text messages, but don't know how? The course is suitable for anyone who has an Android, iPhone or Windows phone. What will I learn? How to download and install apps, use the diary functions, take and share photos, make notes, edit documents and spreadsheets. Back up sync with other devices. How to make free phone/video calls using Wi-Fi and choose the best apps for work and play. How will I learn? Through a combination of tutor demonstrations, hands-on practice and by group discussions. You will also receive handouts to take away and study at home in your own time. Will I gain a qualification? You will not gain a formal qualification but you may receive a Certificate of Attendance from your tutor. What can I do next? You may wish to try one of the other ICT courses we offer e.g. iCloud and iDrive. What do I need to bring to the classes? Hot and cold drinks can be purchased at the centre. You will need to bring a packed lunch as food is not available at the centre. You will need to bring along your fully charged smartphone. Depending upon the type of phone you have you should have either a Google, iTunes or Microsoft account or be prepared to sign up for one. Can I talk to someone about my course before I start it? It is usually possible to put you directly in touch with the tutor if a member of the Community Learning MK staff cannot answer your query.
