Is this the right course for me? This course is right for anyone wishing to learn more about how their home networks are structured and also useful for parents wanting to manage their networks to ensure responsible use. What will I learn? You will learn the fundamentals needed to run your own home network covering topics such as: Wi-Fi / network security, parental controls, requirements of streaming to television, other media devices and much more. This is a real large over view of the potential you have in your home. How will I learn? You will learn in class room which will have lots of time for Q&A. There will be time for hands on as well as practical demonstrations. This will be a fast paced session. Will I gain a qualification? No, this is a very simple introduction to empower you in your own home. What can I do next? Depending on the reason you attended the course, there may be more courses available which take a more direct approach to your requirements. What do I need to bring to the classes? Please bring to class a notepad and pen, plus a folder to keep your work in. Can I talk to someone about my course before I start it? It is usually possible to put you directly in touch with the tutor if a member of the Community Learning MK staff cannot answer your query.
