e-Bay - all you need to know about selling

Is this the right course for me? Yes, if you would like to learn the basics of how to use eBay to sell the things you don't want and make transactions on-line. You will need to have basic computer skills and basic knowledge of the Internet. What will I learn? You can sell just about anything you no longer need or want on eBay, if you know how to use it. This course will cover what is eBay and how the organisation works. How to set up an account as a seller, how to use PayPal to receive payment for your items, taking and uploading photos and promoting your items to get a good sale - how to classify, good descriptions. How will I learn? Through a combination of demonstrations, hands-on practice and by group discussions. You will also receive handouts to take away and study at home in your own time. Will I gain a qualification? You will not gain a formal qualification but you may receive a Certificate of Attendance from your tutor. What can I do next? You may wish to try one of the other ICT courses we offer. What do I need to bring to the classes? Notepad and pen. Details of an item to sell - please bring photos either on your digital camera (leads required) or in a digital format. Please bring a digital camera to take photos. The tutor will have 1 camera available for use. Your e-mail address, plus passwords to access. If you have an eBay account - your log in details. If you have a PayPal account - your login details. If you need to set up a PayPal account - your bank details - credit/debit card. You may wish to bring a packed lunch. Hot and cold drinks can be purchased at the centre. Can I talk to someone about my course before I start it? It is usually possible to put you directly in touch with the tutor if a member of the Community Learning MK staff cannot answer your query.
