You will study contemporary issues in Tourism Management including: - Human Resources and Organisational Development - Finance and Revenue Management - Business and Marketing Strategy - Tourism Operations - Dissertation This course is available as a full-time or part-time programme over one or two years. This 'Top-up' programme enables you to gain a BA Honours Degree after you have completed a Foundation Degree or equivalent qualification. For International students - This course can be taken as a one year 'Top-up' programme enabling International students to gain a BA Honours Degree after they have completed a Foundation Degree or HND in a related subject. UCAS code NN28 Employability The course will enable you to develop a wide range of employability skills through the experience you will gain during the course as well as an emphasis on a vocational approach to teaching. This course will equip you with the skills to work for any part of the industry such as integrated resorts, airlines, tourist boards, tour operators and across specialist areas such as destination management, marketing, sales, logistics, customer services and HR. Managerial roles in tourism are challenging and rewarding. Tourism managers need to make sure that their businesses are sustainable, profitable and provide a high quality experience for their customers and staff. The tourism sector is the largest sector in the world's economy and is short of good quality managers. Recent graduates from this course have gone onto roles such as Business Travel Consultant, HR Manager, Sales Co-ordinator, advisors for Tourist Boards and Policy and Development institutes. Many also start their own businesses in the sector including web-based tour operations.
