UPDATED 20160405 08:27:52

The City & Guilds Basic Skills programme is a practical based course. There are some underpinning knowledge questions to back up understanding and these have to be answered by the candidates. These can be answered orally if required and recorded in writing by the tutor. Candidates will build many types of walls, ranging from half brick walling to brick and block gable ends. There are also options from which the candidate must build at least two, these range from chimneystacks to arches and include brick inspection chambers. Due to changes in the Quality Curriculum Framework the content of this course may vary before the proposed start date.
