This course is designed for those who wish to train for a career in the art of body therapies. The course will include the origins of massage, personal health and Well Being, Body massage, Indian head massage, Pre- blended aromatherapy and Stone therapy massage. Alongside Health and Safety, anatomy, physiology and functional skills you will also be given the opportunity to complete the Award in Advanced Waxing.

Diploma in Beauty Massage Therapies Qualification title: Certificate in Beauty Therapy Studies (Massage) (QCF) Qualification type: Assessment Continual assessment forms the basis of this course. Students will be tested regularly throughout the year, usually on a module or subject basis. This helps to build up a portfolio of evidence to prove competence and a full understanding of the underpinning knowledge of the subject. Practically, students are required to show competence in treating a wide range of clients and to show the ability to analyse the effects of treatments, over a period, through case studies and projects. An acceptable professional level is required in all areas in order to gain certification. Students may also be required to demonstrate their skills during a client session to an external verifier, where staff members are also monitored, for their fairness and accuracy in assessing students.
