The Edexcel Level 3 BTEC Extended Diploma is a practical work related course with theory elements. You will learn elements of sports coaching, excercise science and outdoor puirsuits to broaden your depth of knowledge across a range of sports industries ready for employment. Your assessments are based on theory and practical elements which could include workplace situations, scenarious and demonstrations of skills. This Extened Diploma is the equivalent of 3 A-levels at Grades A-E. All students will study the following core units: . Principles of Anatomy and Physiology .The Physiology of Fitness . Fitness Testing . Sports Coaching . Sports Development . Fitness and training programme All students will study a range of the optional units: . Injuries in Sport . Sports nutrition . Practical team sports . Outdoor and adventurous activities . Current issues in sport . Work experience . Sports massage .
