This course is designed for those who wish to train for a career in beauty therapy and customer service, it gives a good overall grounding in all aspects of beauty therapy treatment in this highly demanded profession. Provide a basic manicure and pedicure treatment, Facial Treatment, Nail Art Application, Basic & Photographic Make-up Application, Face Painting, Introduction to the Hair & Beauty Sector, Health & Safety in the Salon, Salon Reception Duties, Work Experience, Maths and English.

Name: Level 1 Beauty Therapy Qualification title: Diploma in Beauty Therapy (QCF) Qualification type: Assessment Continual assessment forms the basis of this course. Students will be tested regularly throughout the year, usually on a module or subject basis. This helps to build up a portfolio of evidence to prove competence and a full understanding of the underpinning knowledge of the subject. Practically, students are required to show competence in treating a wide range of clients and to show the ability to analyse the effects of treatments, over a period, through case studies and projects. An acceptable professional level is required in all areas, in order to gain certification. Students may also be required to demonstrate their skills during a client session to an external verifier, where staff members are also monitored, for their fairness and accuracy in assessing students.
