Accounting is suited to all students who enjoy working with numbers. It is both a basis for further study at university and an excellent foundation for the study of professional examinations, e.g. ACCA and CIMA, both of which are linked to the workplace and can be studied here at Huish. Many future employers will be very interested in the skills you develop in Accounting as they require highly skilled people who have learned about planning and controlling the use of resources, and the prudent management of money. It is also useful if you wish to set up your own business in the future as it will help you to manage and control the business performance.
