The course will introduce the basic use of plants to treat common health problems such as coughs and colds, bruises and minor skin injuries, eczema, hormonal problems such as PMT, adolescent acne, hot flushes, joint and muscular problems such as arthritis and rheumatism. The course is aimed at providing basic understanding of simple techniques of herb preparation, such as making an infusion (a herb tea), making a tincture (preserving a herb for future use), making an ointment (a skin application of a herb).
