The course will introduce learners to basic vocabulary and language structures needed for communicating in a range of everyday situations, likely to be encountered on holiday or on work-related visits to German speaking countries. These situations will include introductions and exchanging basic personal information such as saying where you are from, ordering food and drink in a cafe or restaurant, asking for directions etc. The emphasis will be on listening and speaking, with some reading comprehension such as with menu items.
