Food Hygiene - Level 2 Award - Food Safety in Catering

The aim of this course is to learn how to prepare, cook & serve food safely in order to prevent food poisoning occurring. Learners will learn how to carry out best hygienic practices and understand food safety hazards and what should be done to prevent them. An overview of relevant food safety systems will be considered in order that students can decide which would be appropriate to apply when they themselves are handling food.They will also gain an awareness of food safety and the law and an understanding of how to carry out correct pest control.They will also gain an understanding of HACCP & the importance of correct food storage.
