The course will follow a set programme of recreational and vocational activities to encourage, promote and develop your personal skills, confidence and physical abilities. These informal learning opportunities will be delivered in a relaxed and friendly environment by tutors empathetic to ALDD needs. If you like to be in the water, this flexible course that is suitable for all from beginners to serious swimmers, would be a great way for you to exercise. Should you wish, you will be given the opportunity to work towards swimming badges. Qualified life guard assistance in the pool is provided. Your tutor will regularly review your activities and offer you support and guidance. You will be encouraged to identify small, realistic and achievable goals to work towards throughout the course. Learners are expected to attend regularly ie at least 80% of the course.
