The course will follow a set programme of recreational and vocational activities to encourage, promote and develop your personal skills, confidence and physical abilities. These informal learning opportunities will be delivered in a relaxed and friendly environment by tutors empathetic to ALDD needs. Learners will explore cultural and historical subjects through music, comedy and drama. You will be encouraged to participate in activities to build your self confidence and natural abilities. You will have fun watching a variety of films, on our big screen in our special performing arts theatre. We usually do lots of music and singing in this group. Your tutor will regularly review your activities and offer you support and guidance. You will be encouraged to identify small, realistic and achievable goals to work towards throughout the course and will keep a learning log to monitor your progress and achievement within the group. Lessons will involve recap to consolidate learning. Learners are expected to attend regularly ie at least 80% of the course.
