The CAD course is designed to meet the needs of local companies and individuals, and provides an introduction to CAD principles, three dimensional modelling strategies, and CAD software operation. The courses are designed for anybody (from beginner to professional) with an interest in learning how to use and get the most out of the latest CAD technology in a short amount of time, typically twelve weeks (one term). For all courses you will be supplied with a copy of your own fully licensed CAD software for installation and use on your home PC, which includes a comprehensive embedded self-tutoring guide which will take you step by step from the design and technical considerations through to the final product. What will I study on the course? You will learn how to produce 3D modelled parts, component assemblies, detailed drawings, and much more including, exploded views and applying material attributes to name a few. You will have access to our specialist CAD suit and the step by step handbook is yours to take away at the end of the course or to use in practice at home. What makes this course special? The course allows the very best of BTEC level 3 standards to be crafted and enhanced into a dedicated course similar to that found in the National Diploma without having to study for two years and complete ten other units.
