AAT L3 Accounting Technicians - Advanced Apprenticeship

This course is suited to someone who has completed the Level 2 Certificate in Accounting course OR has previous accountancy/finance experience, relevant qualifications (A-levels), used to studying, OR with the confidence to start at a slightly higher level than Level 2. This course is offered on the following days: Gloucester campus: Thursday morning and afternoon. Cheltenham campus: Monday morning and afternoon Half day release can be offered by negotiation. All classes are three hours duration plus a fifteen minute break. Classes start at 9.30am, 1.45pm and 6.00pm. The course covers: accounts preparation I, accounts preparation II, cash management, costs and revenues, indirect tax (VAT), professional ethics in accounting and finance and spreadsheet software. For further detail refer to the AAT website http://www.aat.org.uk/ Learners may have to complete Key Skills English and maths level 2 depending on GCSE achievement. Assessment is based on seven computer based examinations. In addition to attending college, students will be expected to undertake between 3-4 hours additional study out of college. This course is suited to students who have progressed from the AAT Level 2 Certificate for Accounting Technicians Apprenticeship course. Students need to be in paid employment within the accounting environment.
