The BTEC L3 Diploma in Hospitality is designed to equip learners with the knowledge, understanding and skills required to be a successful supervisor in the hospitality and catering industry. Learners on this course need to be self-motivated, ambitious and can work to deadlines. The course offers great opportunities. The course would suit those who leave with GCSE's , A levels or who have been in industry for a while. "Including replacement demand, an additional 660,200 hospitality people will need to be recruited by 2020" Source: People 1st State of the Nation You will study 12 units over a two years period. The units that are studied regularly change to meet the needs of the current group of learners but will include the hospitality industry, customer service, planning and managing events, and alcoholic beverages. This is not a cooking qualification but it is likely that at least one cooking unit will be studied each year. The course is challenging and involves independent study and research.
