The BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma is equivalent to three A Levels. You will study thirteen units over the two year course with seven mandatory units and six optional units. The course provides a balance of breadth and depth, while retaining a degree of choice for individual learners to study content relevant to their own interests and progression choices. Units you may study: Principles of Computer Science: This covers the principles that underpin all areas of computer science. It will develop your computational-thinking skills and you will apply those skills to solve problems. Computer Games Development: In this unit you will investigate the computer games industry and its impact on technological and social trends. You will design and develop a computer game to meet requirements. Mobile Apps Development: You will investigate mobile apps as well as design and develop an application intended for use on mobile devices.
