Psychology A Level

You will study each of the major approaches in psychology, gaining an understanding of the different explanations to human behaviour. These include: psychodynamic, behaviorist, cognitive, biological and positive. You will learn about the contributions each area of psychology has made and will be encouraged to debate all topics. You will also learn how to conduct research in psychology and discuss how useful different methods of investigation are. There will be an opportunity for you to explore behaviours such as: criminal behaviour, autism and schizophrenia in detail. You will look at the explanations and treatments for each allowing you to critically consider the future of each.
